Spring Decorating.....A Tasty Meal.....Natural Beauty

ha,ha
Seriously though folks, spring has arrived in the Maritimes, even though there is still lots of snow about - it is melting and disappearing quickly. The snow is still very deep in the woods and the deer are beginning to find their meals along the sunny sides of hills on our many roads and highways. We have seen herds of 30 - 40 grazing contentedly on the side of the road.
For those of you that might be a bit delicate, these next photos you may not like to view. They were captured by my Nephew. He was driving home and saw this, stopped the car, grabbed his camera and shot away. Its not often one captures a sight like this and pretty awesome to have been able to do so.
My Nephew also captured these photos of the Spring Melt at Lepreau Falls and Hammond River;  (a short distance from here) this past weekend. Yes, Spring is happening in the Maritimes.

I laughed at the snow kitties on the trees, and found the eagle a bit bedraggled and gory but fun anyway, and the last two, just plain gorgeous! Thanks, Saucy, for the trip to the Maritimes with you. :-)

That is a once in a life time picture of the eagle.

Beautiful pictures. Glad spring is arriving.

It's such a beautiful place you live in. Very glad the snow is melting at long last. Loved all the cats! And is that a Sea Eagle? What a fabulous bird.

That eagle was very busy, and it looks like he had a bad hair day!

Good to hear that you're finally getting spring. We need to see what goes on in nature. However, when we meddle with the balance of nature some awful things can take place.

Ha, ha, those snow cats are very funny!
Your nephew made a wonderful photo, this is nature, birds have to find their food too, so you can't blame them. Glad for you the snow is melting at last now and the water can stream again.

Great post, Lilly. I love the cats, they are funny, and the photo your nephew took of that bird is quite extraordinary, it surely is not common to watch something like that. When it comes to nature, we often say how much we like it so we must accept all aspects of it, right? No place for delicacy... :)

What fun and amazing photos, Saucy. It's so nice to meet you. I just returned from Vancouver and Victoria. We always love going to Canada. I didn't hear any oot and aboot though. Darn. It's the only way I can tell if the person is from Canada.
